Dr. Jake Simpson

Chiropractor

Dr. Jake Simpson is our clinic Chiropractor. Throughout his youth, Dr. Simpson was immersed in athletics which eventually spurred his passion and intrigue into optimal human performance and function. This passion is what led him to obtain a degree in Sports Medicine and Chiropractic. Dr. Simpson’s focus is on the ENTIRE musculoskeletal system, thus evaluating and treating the muscles, joints, tendons, ligaments, capsules, etc. Through his knowledge and the list of therapeutic modalities used, Dr. Simpson has set himself apart from other chiropractors that just simply adjust the spine.
Dr. Simpson has a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Exercise Science from Colorado State University and a Doctor of Chiropractic from Cleveland Chiropractic College. As a senior intern Dr. Simpson did his clinical rotation at the Kansas City Veterans Affairs hospital. That experience helped him to expand his knowledge in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting. His post-graduate education includes courses in functional medicine, nutrition, and biomechanics.

Dr. Christine Skorberg

M.D., FACOG & Medical Director

Dr. Skorberg is a board-certified OB-GYN and Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has been in practice more than 25 years. A telling statistic about her excellence is that more than half of local surgical nurses–who know every doctor and see how well they do their jobs–have chosen her as their OB-GYN. She is the leading OB-GYN surgeon in northern Colorado for vaginal hysterectomies, vaginal remediation of prolapsed bladders and bowels, pelvic relaxation of the uterus, and the relief of pain caused by endometriosis and adenomyosis. She has delivered 10,000 babies as well, including three sets of triplets. Most recently, Dr. Skorberg was elected president of the Northern Colorado Independent Practice Association, a physicians’ group dedicated to reducing medical costs, improving care, and advocating for patients. Dr. Skorberg chaired the OB-GYN department at Poudre Valley Hospital for two years.

In 2010, Dr. Skorberg was selected by MTV to be its OB-GYN of choice for a segment on its popular show “16 and Pregnant”, which depicts in real-life the challenges of teenage pregnancy.

Among the non-medical concerns women openly share with Dr. Skorberg is the desire to look and feel younger. In response, she’s added a wide range of aesthetics procedures and products to her practice. Because she is a surgeon, she’s able to provide safer, more aggressive, and more medically correct treatments. That’s why patients enjoy fabulous results.

Dr. Skorberg is married with a daughter proudly serving in the Navy.

Grier Gladden

Massage Therapist

After a long career in law enforcement, I decided that I wanted to “serve” the public in a kinder and gentler way. My path has taken me deep into the body, mind and spirit. I enjoy learning and educating clients in different ways to help their bodies, minds and spirits. I also am able to help other ways such as; energy work, aromatherapy, and Flower Essences. I’m also training to become a Shamanic Practioner, and also an apprentice for a Clinical Herbalist. I graduated from the Colorado School of Healing Arts, where I learned to listen to my body as well as my clients’ bodies: and strive to enrich and empower people on all levels.

Neuromuscular Massage/Trigger Point Therapy: is a bodywork technique that involves the application of pressure to tender muscle tissue in order to relieve pain and dysfunction in other parts of the body.

Craniosacral Therapy: a system of gentle touch designed to enhance the functioning of the membranes, tissues, fluids, and bones surrounding or associated with the brain and spinal cord.

Lymph Drainage Massage: lymph drainage massages are done in a specific rhythm and direction to increase the flow of the lymphatic system in the body. People with medical needs and those who are healthy can both benefit from this type of massage. Benefits include healing after surgery, improved immune system, relaxation, decrease edema and lymphedema.

Sports Massage: Is a form of bodywork geared toward participants in athletics. It is used to help prevent injuries, to prepare the body for athletic activity and maintain it in optimal condition, and to help athletes recover from workouts and injuries. Sports massage has three basic forms: pre-event massage, post-event massage, and maintenance massage.

Oncology Massage: Is designed not to overwhelm an already compromised body system. Because of specific adjustments made to the massage and bodywork, cancer patients as well as other medically fragile patients can safely receive massage at all stages of treatment. This includes long time survivors who may require special considerations due to lasting side effects or risks.

Reflexology: is a therapeutic method of relieving pain by stimulating predefined pressure points on the feet and hands. This controlled pressure alleviates the source of the discomfort. In the absence of any particular malady or abnormality, reflexology may be as effective for promoting good health and for preventing illness as it may be for relieving symptoms of stress, injury, and illness.

Trauma Touch Therapy: Is a “client driven” therapy that is designed to: Explore the implementation of touch without re-traumatization of the client. Recognize somatic effects of trauma. Explore movement and breathing exercises to deepen somatic awareness.

VibroChrome Therapy:  a combination of vibrational imprints and color therapy to create a new form of resource for the human energy system, using the “law of attraction” simply put… “what color are you drawn to?”
