Reiki


Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the concept that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be and feel truly alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance or a warm “light” that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of healing and has been effective in helping virtually every known illness or malady and always creates a beneficial effect. While Reiki is not a medical or psychiatric treatment, it works in conjunction with all medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

A Reiki session is either 30, 60 or 90 minutes long and it is recommended to get 3 sessions sequentially to promote the blossoming of the chakras to fully deliver the healing energies to the energetically open, receptive body. Reiki will not force anyone to heal, it simply helps provide the right energy and circumstances for healing to take place. A Reiki session is deeply relaxing, so be prepared to go into a state of pure zen.
